Donata R. Henry and Michelle Sanchez presented with the Barbara E. Moely Service Learning Teaching Award!

The Barbara E. Moely Service Learning Teaching Award will be presented annually to a professor who embraces Dr. Moely’s exceptional dedication to bringing classrooms to life though engaged partnerships. This award is a reflection of Dr. Moely’s decades-long devotion of bridging the university-community divide by training students across disciplines to become compassionate and culturally competent leaders…”

“Every year we at the Center for Public Service recognize faculty who have been exceptionally dedicated to community-engaged scholarship and teaching in their careers at Tulane. This year, we’d like to honor you both. While you individually have contributed so much to STEM outreach efforts at Tulane, to creating meaningful and deep service learning and internship experiences, forging new community partnerships, and overall to being champions for community engagement and public service at Tulane, it was just too hard to select only one of you. And so this year we’ve decided to give out two awards instead of one. This award is meant to show our appreciation and respect for your work involving community, and will be presented amongst peers at our annual Faculty Appreciation Reception, where Provost Robin Forman will present the Barbara E. Moely Service Learning Teaching Award.”
