Donata R. Henry: Levy Professor for Integrated Discovery and Community Engagement!

Levy Professors for Integrated Discovery and Community Engagement at the Tulane School of Science and Engineering:

Through the generosity of Edward (A&S 78) and Jami Levy, this program has been initiated to provide more opportunities for science and engineering students to interact with, learn from, inform, and further influence the public sector through engagement with the New Orleans community. Mr. Levy attended Tulane University on scholarship after growing up in a small town in upstate New York. He studied Psychology and always treasured the analytical influence this curriculum had on him while experiencing the tremendous plethora of ideas and their ability to melt together at Tulane. He married Jami Levy, originally from Philadelphia, who has been actively involved in philanthropy for many years. Their commitment to Tulane’s community engagement and its efforts to encourage new ways for science and engineering academia to integrate with the community, inspired the Levys to establish this program.
